If you only had $100 to spend on a Crappie spinning rod & reel

Last BnM SH rod I bought was at Academy for $40. Then Bot pr Shimano Sedona 1000’s for $100. That puts me at $90 for 1 combo. Spool it up with Trilene XL 4lb and buy 2 bags BG’s and there went your $100. We cast to Crappie in clearer water is why I like this combo

There are some good choices out there "but for my money " will be hard pressed to beat the Bucks graphite spinning rod . Cost about 45.00 and comes in a combo as well . Have never bought the combo but love this med/light 6.6 rod for casting to crappie . This rod and a speed spin AH100 Lew's spinning reel (5 ball bearings ) is the set up I bought today . Academy will sell these for about 80.00 . Also the reel is 6:2-1(plenty fast )
