Minn Kota alternatives for transom mount 55lb thrust trolling motor?

Both of my Minn Kotas that are over 10 yrs. that have done well are going downhill and need to be replaced. Minn Kota has gone up in price and I researched other companies on Amazon that are price competitive and that also have good ratings overall. Pexmor 55# transom mount is $179 vs MK at $325. The 46 lb thrust Pexmor is $156 with a 90% good approval ratings for both motors.

Also, is there much difference between 46 and 55 lb thrust speedwise as well as the consumption of energy even when used at a lower speed?

Sometimes you have to use the tm more frquently especially when fighing a 15-20 mph headwind where the battery better be heavy duty!
