Black crappie for me. It may be all in my head but they seem to fight a little harder. They usually seem to taste a little better also. Like I said though it may just be all in my noggin. I will take either on any day

Black crappie certainly fight a little harder but I can't tell the difference in taste between a black and a white. Here in Texas the white crappie are larger on average.

I like them on a plate, when their fried, I cannot tell the difference.
Black crappie pull a little harder but for eating l can’t tell any difference.

I think black fight a lil harder. If I was to fry them both up & put them on a plate in front of you you couldn't tell the difference. Just my opinion!!
