I just sold my boat to a friend who took it to Minnesota on vacation. After the first day the trolling motor broke. I’ve run this motor or an equivalent for decades without seeing this. The factory says the parts aren’t too expensive but I bet it’s a bear to fix.
Can’t get video to add to this. Will try in another post.

Well I guess this old man is pretty dumb. I have this saved as a video but am unable to add to post. I even took some pictures from the video but the still can’t be added to the post. What we have is the base portion of the head of the trolling motor (Maxxum) is cracked from side to side on both sides. As soon as I can get my son to send me some pictures as opposed to a video, I will send them.

To add a video you will have to upload to another site first like YouTube and then share that link here in the forum.

    Call these people
    Northland Marine

    northland marine - Google Search

And they will hook you up.

A Minn Kota trolling motor is easy to work on and these people know their stuff.
