Looks like a small cow more than a deer. Sure is a healthy one
So I headed on down thru the Indian nations back to Texas ,where it ain't terribly easy to get skunked ......
Was given a spot to look for them and "think" they were likely there , but was also told it was a green light at night bite , dint have no green light and didn't try it at night .
Hooked one fish deep and think it might have been a crappie , but came unbuttoned long before the surface .
The water depth was extreme under the bridge where I was sent to by a local right off the bank and the shad were thick up under it in the shade , to bad all that hit my hand was a spotted bass ,a largemouth and longear sunfish , no worries though ....
found herds of them "other" fish in other spots and beat them good for the heck of it .....
Watched a bald eagle beat up a heron to steal its fish maybe or eat the heron not sure , am sure it was really noisy though and with lots of dive bombing and splashing occurring.
A baby muskrat played hide and seek with me in the grass mats around the docks too, but the otter was in the dark and didn't hang long, and man them Missouri deer are fat , not missing any meals there for sure.
Right fine adventure for sure , would do it again if given the chance , sure was pretty up there .
p.s. since them crappie dint seem to like me, the fish pix will be in the panfish thread , just saying
Forget the fishing,, shoot that cow!
Very nice!
