It takes a lot out of you having your chest cavity opened up and on heart lung machine for hours.
Hopefully you heal quickly and no complications.
My triple bypass pain and sleep pattern was similar but my body rejected the 9 wires they wire the sternum back together and 6 months later they went back in and removed the wires. That was far painful for me.
Take care of yourself and do what the doctor says.

I’m not a doc but I believe that when they cut and move the bones around to do their work, some bruising happens. Bruising soft tissue recovers fast. Cartilage and other tissue that they bother takes a good while longer. I hated feeling the sides of the separation of my chest moving until they started to mend. Let me know I was trying to do too much. Go easy on yourself. Some of us have been there and none of us had fun. My prayers will continue……..
