Definitely has been too hot to fish
You know those places you always hear about but have never been?????? I finally went to a fishing spot I've heard about for many many years. Not far from the house, things just never aligned to make it there. Anyway, finally just decided to go today. I will say this. I didn't get skunked. One fish probably 7" at best. Several bumps. I say one fish since I don't count bream when I'm crappie fishing. I did catch 4 of those. Anyway, I didn't check the ambient temperature but it must have been fairly hot. The water surface temperature was 96 deg F. That's definitely "Too hot to fish..."

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
the temps here are such that only the diehards will EVEN attempt to ketch much after 8 or so in the morning ....
see my guide buddies quitting by 9 am on some trips .....
but remember this , the fish don't realize we are miserable out there and still go about being fish ,just saying

Better than getting skunked. Super hot makes it difficult
