I did last year.
Went fishing today, stopped at one of the treetop, looked down at water and millions of mayflies dead on water, stopped at second and still water covered with live and dead mayflies, needless to say didn’t catch many crappie due to their bellies slam full of mayflies, anybody ever ran into this situation.

They were too busy gorging themselves on mayflies to pay attention to a jig

Fished Sinclair Thur nite on dock lights around Crooked Creek area with jigs and the bite was very sparse. Fished Sat morning hitting brush piles and the fish were still lethargic. They wouldn’t chase a jig at all. The only ones we caught was on a vertical presentation and you really had to aggravate them to bite. You could hear the smacking/popping sounds all night on Friday when we were catfishing from them eating the mayflies off the top.

My son-in-law made it up to KC, MO (truck driver, like his mom) and we get his mail here, so I took the day and took it to him. On the way home I took a little break from driving at a conservation area full of strip pits. one end of a strip pit was so full of mayflies you could almost walk across on them. When I got there I was wishing I had my pole, and a bit more time. sure was a great area fore sure. Definitely going back and fish it for sure...
