    Default Live Scope

Still have not laid out the cash for Live Scope yet, Those that have gotten the latest model, have you found it to be better that the previous model? Is the new one worth the extra money? 4000.00 is what I am expecting to spend if I go with it. That's a little hard to swallow.

I feel your pain brother, don’t know if I want to spend that kind of money either, but spotlock on your trolling motor, now that’s the ticket for fishing treetops, ledges whatever you need to stay on the spot.

spot lock is a champ , really helps you zone in on the fish and not the boat position .

Buy spot lock before anything else.

    I disagree
No need for spot lock or poles but to each his own

Buddy has both and we never use either bass or crappie unless you count to pee or waiting for take off,

Guess it depends on how you fish. But as you said..to each his own.

This is the real answer. How you fish really determines which is the best option.

I agree. Spot lock really isn’t suitable for fishing from if you really want to fish well. A lot of peoples frustration with Livescope comes from trying to fish from spot lock. Learning to actually control the boat would put a lot more fish in the boat for people but for some reason people have hard time accepting this. Spot lock depends on gps and there will always be too much boat drift to really work well for anything other than retying or taking a break. I guess if you are just wanting set in the same area code as a big brush pile with a bunch of fish then I could see it, but beyond that it’s pretty useless.
