    Default Sense of humor time

Is for sure when you visit the water with me , met a fella a few years ago that really wanted me to ride in his boat with him one day when I was banking it .
We chatted a bit and I was skeptical and then here it came ....me said "well ok I suppose for a few as long as you don't get your feelings hurt real easy" !
because you see my friends , if we ain't yucking it up pretty well while we ketch fish , then it is not something I really want to do again .....
I understand some folks need to be serious and all in focus and such , but this is NOT me and ketchn fish for me should be out of focus a bit and stupid good fun at the same time .
needless to say we both look forward to the times I get to ride around with him and to be sure, we are likely going to be messing with one another during the visits ....
so keep in mind this about that , if you are serious crappie person , you probably won't enjoy time on the water with me , just saying ....
crappie ketchn has actually led me to some of the closest buds I have ,crappie folks are cut from a different cloth than other anglers for sure
p.s. post spawn fishing is one of my favorite venues , some may still spawn a bit ,but most are long done with it ....
    KABOOM is the word ya"ll

Good post, Ketchn, and you’re sure right that if you’re not having fun it just becomes like a job. That’s why I quit keeping a daily count a couple of years ago, I felt that for me it was taking away from the fun - I just want to catch fish.

It's all about having fun & enjoying the outdoors to me. I can remember sitting around with my dad & grandpa's catfishing just talking & having fun & we may not get a bite all day. I try & teach the young kids the same thing. But these days it's hard for them to understand that. It's a pretty competitive world out there !!!

If you can't joke and have fun while fishing, you take things way too seriously.

several of my crappie buds are serious about getting a limit or it's not a good day but not me. If I get a few first, then go do something else then pick up a few more that's fine and could end up with a limit but if not? still have a bowl full o filets. nice thing about being a short walk or drive from one of my home lakes. I really enjoy ketchn but there are lots of other things to do around our condo or cabin and usually involves talking to the neighbors or doing some maitenance stuff.

I ketch plenty as you all can see but it's not the end all and we always have a blast when I do it with others or I am learning something from my bettors.

I am serious about slinging them and have been known to zone out once in the act , tuning into the ripping channel is something I really enjoy , but I still glance up from time to time to wise crack ya if you are on the fish and if you are not on the fish as well .....
you go to "air setting the hook" a few times and the ribbing will get pretty intense right quickly I promise
