If your jig head and plastic are perfectly matched to begin with, then when your lure is in the water it will hang horizontally and have freedom of movement. Just sayin you should use your loop knot when you attach jigs to your line. You can use a cinch knot when you attach a hook to your line and you are fishing a minnow. That minnow will provide the action to your lure. Again, if you are using a jig, you should use the loop knot to give your jig more action.
