Default Man they’re growing up on me.

My father always said kids grow up fast but geez was he right. My wife takes a picture first day of school and last day each year, and this year’s really got me. I work 2nd shift so I only see them for 30-45 minutes a day in the mornings before they head out. And then I head back to bed, nights suck, 8 years and counting.

Yep nights do suck! I found a day job before we had kids. Spend as much time as you can because before you know it they are out on their own. Ask me how I know........

Look like Great Kids! Nice Pics!

Nights are terrible and seconds are even worse. On seconds you are at work when everything is going on

Mine was 3 to 11:30. With only 2 weekends off a month. Before that I was on 1 6pm to 6 am nightshift that rotated days off. If you worked it this week you would have it off the next week. It was alot better

Night shift can not only mess up your "life flow" while you're on that shift .... it can mess with your sleep/awake hours pattern YEARS after you're no longer on it. Ask me how I know, after almost 40yrs of night shift (& I've been retired for 9yrs)

I used to work swing shift. A week of 8 am - 4pm, a day & a half off, then a week of 4 pm - midnight, then 2.5 days off mid-week, next a week of midnight - 8 am, followed by a long weekend off. Then start all over again. Please note I said used to work swing. It was brutal and absolutely screwed up the body's clock and rhythm. It was sort of sucked the life out of you. Instead, I got a non manufacturing job with more responsibility, more days off, & a better paycheck.

I don't know if it's the angle on what, but they both look like they grew a couple inches over the school year.

I thinks it’s camera angle to some degree, they have grown quite a bit. But just how much they’ve matured is the real shock.
