Good pics and nice jig. Yeah it’s been a little different here this last month. Windiest I can remember in quite some time.
April was one of the wettest on record for my part of Oregon. So far May is looking to do the same. Hit the lake this morning and first thing I noticed was the water temp had dropped a little. We had a deluge yesterday afternoon and I'm sure that didn't help. By 7:30 the wind kicked up and by 9:00 I bagged it and went back to the launch. If my 5lb anchor won't hold in the coves I call it quits. I did pick up one on one of my ties. Also got to watch 2 Osprey battle for a fish. That made the trip right there.

Great that you went out. I am just a little ways south of you and we have had less than half of a regular years rainfall! Always amazes me how a cellphone picture of big waves can look so tame,I know what it is really like, and the pictures just don't show up right. Some days here can be rough enough to be overly dangerous, others just annoying, and still others flat calm. My boat is half full of torn plastics,so nice job using the hand tied. What was the water temperature?

Unfortunately, I can't give an accurate temp for you. I haven't put electronics on the new yak yet. Just washing my hands off and getting my feet wet was enough to tell the difference between last Monday and today. It has been a heck of a weather year. Most of Oregon is below average for snow and rain. The systems have aligned right to drench my area. I've been battling fungus gnats in the garden beds due to the moisture. Thats a first for me. You are correct pictures rarely do justice showing the water conditions. My eyeballs were still bouncing when I got home.
Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing

wind is sure becoming the new news , we had 70 mph gusts the other day in the dfw area and the really strange part was not a drop of rain in it , the norm when winds get that high is fast hard rain here
