Default How to keep fillets cold during travel

Do do y’all keep your fillets chilled or frozen during a couple day trip? Should we freeze them at the cabin or keep them chilled or on ice during the duration of the trip? What do you do?

I freeze them and transport in ice. My grandpa used to freeze them then wrap the frozen packs in newspaper and put on ice for their return to KY from FL each spring.

^ This if you have several hours to travel.
Dry ice is cheap , just be careful with it ,
Put a towel or some kind of barrier is they don’t freezer burn. and don’t touch it your bare hands. Most big grocery stores have it. You have to ask where it’s kept.
