    Default Double Orange you say

Sure , it is the spawn or what is left of it anyway . So we walked the doggy on the long hike spot and I stopped a few places and pitched the Double trouble Orange into the drink .
Found several willing male fish and NO females , the girls were likely on the way after the sunset , but we don't hang around that late in the day .
The good news is for sure this , nothing beats an agitated bedded up male crappie fish for sure , the KABOOM is not for the faint of heart for sure . Man do they thump it hard , love it for sure .
I painted a few heads orange and put on an orange split tail and used it in slightly deeper waters of around 3 foot deep as the lake came up and the fish stayed where they were bedded before the water rose up about a foot .
Enjoy them colored up fish while you can , the legend of the spawn is winding down in the DFW metroplex area of Texas for sure.
p.s. I did in fact spool up some new clear Vicious 8 lb mono on the ole HD 7 foot Cherrywood on a big open face Shimano since the last years 6 lb was getting kinda brittle , great idea since some of the fish are really far off shore since the water rose and the bank got farther way from where they want to be .

personally I like the contrast of two colors and have more confidence. then if you add a different colored nibble too? trifecta.
