How is water clarity defined?

Since I do not Secchi, the color is what I say it is. I usually fish alone so I am always correct. If not catching then I admit I was wrong and change colors. Hate it when I'm wrong all day!

as mentioned, there fish can't look over a bait and it is easier to trick a crappie into a hit

Wonder if it is the same way in the fish world. Hanging out at the dock, relaxing in the dim light, then bam there you are making bad decisions

we have 3 kinds of water here in Texas
normally turbid/slightly clear to cloudy
semi muddy
and might need a 4 wheel drive in this stuff .....
