Attachment 424334 Crappie Magnets always get it done for me vertical. I use natural colors in clear water and high contrast in stained water. I prefer a pink 1/16th Oz head but use plain lead a lot too. I have been using a large split shot above it for live scope fishing like everyone else does to better see my jig.

I also dig the baby shads. My go to is black and chartreuse. Here lately electric chicken has been getting the action too. Id say after that is pink jig head and all black baby shad. I also like blue ice.

I think color makes a difference but gotta be where the fish that want to bite are.
