Nice. Bright chartreuse jig seemed to be the ticket that day. Couple of good catches no doubt.

I used that same size plastic and color at both spots , one with an under belly willow blade spinner and orange head for the slow drag under a float with some noise, flash and contrast in the turbid shallow water.
the other on a 1/16 no paint head for high visibility in the shade under the dock .

There were 2 real good fish on that visit , both made me smile knowing that they are about the best in size a person will find on that particular lake .
Many years of hitting that lake has made me understand that some lakes grow fish to a certain size range and that is the limit ,unless of course you stumble up on that one fish that is abnormally large for the area .

This one was really large lengthwise and had a big head , she was past prime though in the body and from what is obvious to me on the downhill side of life for a fish .
When a crappie nears its length of time on this planet ,they tend to lose their robust body look.
None the less , it was cool to ketch her and she was a sly old gal for sure , she bit twice so light it was almost like you imagined you got bit .
Was also pretty tired and gave up quickly for a large fish .
