Some fish bite better after a rain. I have caught crappie on worms while fishing for catfish where a stream feeds into the lake. If was an insect buffet flowing into the lake crappie were one of the species that was there dining

gives me hope! I was thinking of not going and wasting the gas if the fishing was going to not work out

Some bridges and culverts can be hot spots after a good rain this time of year.
The bass are usually the first to show up.

Fishing after a rain has been especially good for me. If the water where you are going to fish will have a strong current I would target the mouths of tributaries where Crappie will go to get out of the fast moving waters. GL!

Our lakes came up a foot last night and it muddied the water a bit , fish remained in place for the most part .
But it was a warm rain and 95 today with a west wind .
