One of the lakes I fish you aren't supposed to drop any cover in them. I seen a boat loaded down with Christmas trees one day and stopped to talk with them. They were doing some conservation thing or something. They placed new duck boxes and were dropping 50 trees. Supposed to turn gps locations over to the city so they could map them. I know if I hadn't talked with them or seen them those trees would be gone before the city ever updates the map showing locations....lol.

Well I was out on a barge last saturday on one of my home lakes where the local club puts the xmas trees left over from retailers and who also contribute blocks to drop them with. They placed them in locations that I like to fish any way just further off the bank than I normally do. As they are all bass fisherman and do tournaments and other things I don't do, I joined just for this event and for kids fishing days and any other thing that improves the lake.

I have those way points in the GPS in my noggin and hopefully will result in some good ketchn for years to come. Ironically when I had them drop a few in the open slot next to my toon havn't caught diddly from it. but a little branch I sunk at end of my dock I have caught a few nice ones. oh well.

funny how that works aint it , had a spot or 2 I liked and put brush in and that was the end of that , never had a fish visit there again , go figure ......
