I retired two years ago and moved to Florida and thought it was going to be great. It seems that everybody in the world is now moving to Florida and I see nothing but traffic jams and prices skyrocketing on everything particularly local taxes. This is not what I envisioned as my retirement. I want privacy collegiality with other people and lots of fishing. I know Tennessee is also under pressure for people moving but hopefully it's not as bad as Florida. I am a southerner and I feel out of place in Northeast Florida now with the current population. I originally look at signal Mountain but I've been looking at it for over a year and everything is just overpriced or it just doesn't fit. Seems really busy and getting crowded like Florida. Any ideas for you guys who live in Tennessee particularly in the east? I'm now looking at Northeast Tennessee up near Johnson City and the Tri-Cities area but could use some help
I am a little North of Chattanooga. Houses here are not staying on the market very long at all. Lots and lots of fishable waters up here.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
