    Default Smoker

Neighbor has just replaced low-boy hot water heater. Is the inner tank suitable for making a smoker? Years back, I heard something about the metal was dangerous, Is that an old wife's tale?

If it is galvanized I would not want to cook food in it.

I heard not to make stills out of old old water heaters. As they may have possible lead containment. But what do I know?
