    You might be fine with just the outboard. If it is a tad too fast, you can play with the trim, leave a trolling motor down for drag, hang an anchor down (say 10 ft of rope), shift the weight around in the boat (especially big cooler or batteries and fill the livewell), hang buckets (or better yet trolling bags). You could also play with changing the prop out too.
