    Default Grenada Wading

I'm heading to Grenada soon to do some wade fishing. No boat to take at this time. I know it can be amazing fishing when they get up in the brush to spawn. Anybody know any reports? Should I go this weekend or wait a couple weeks? It's about 10 hours away so just trying to make sure that I hit it at the best possible time. Thanks for your help. It's appreciated.

Well we had snow last Saturday and rain all day today... I don’t have a report for you tho I’m hoping to go this weekend and see for myself. I’m sure they will be hot and heavy in the next few weeks for sure though!

Best advice I can give you is keep your eyes open for cottonmouths they plentiful in Mississippi and everyone of them like the same brush top you want to fish

Wait a couple weeks. From what I hear the water is really not high enough yet.

Crappie spawn does not start until the the snakes start sunning themselves in my favorites crappie holes.

That’s an interesting thought. Never thought of it quite that way. The turtles do have a pecking order though and most always go from biggest to smallest down the log.

we have tons of turtles here in the areas there are no gators , them sunning in packs on logs isn't a rare thing when it warms a bit outside .
never thought the crappie nipping at their feet was a real thing myself , but it always made me smile when an old timer would tell me that .
