most of my small open faced spinning reels wont hold 100 yards of 6 lb mono on them best I can tell .

I’m surprised you found Stren crappie in any size spool. I believe it is out of production as I haven’t found it anywhere. It might be very old inventory. That said, I switched over to Gamma hi viz panfish and have been happy with it, both on 500 and 1000 size reels. Gamma isn’t the cheapest but is nice line.

I have a difficult time with 6X, 7X tippet while fly fishing. My eyes are just not what they used to be. I have found these clip-ons work extremely well and you might find they make life a bit easier.
