Both videos in my OP work on my iPhone ...

I’m not sure about viewing the videos from some other device ...

If someone cannot see my specific video just type “rnvinc” into the search at YouTube ...

Thanks for the reply and info.

These rods and this type of fishing presentation will certainly be a new challenge this season.

I think I found the Colman vid you referred to but have not searched for the Capps vid yet.

Looking forward to a report how the new system works for you.

The ice is just now leaving our lakes up here so it will be awhile before I can test.

    Thanks again

OP , from my experience the past year using braid , you will end up going to heavier line. The small stuff is insane when you get a tangle.
Currently I’m using 50 lb test tied to a 4 ft mono leader. ( using standard 12 and 14 ft jig poles tho )
Keep us updated on your progress.
I could probably use something similar to your custom set up during the spawn.

BnM used to sell a pole that looked and worked EXACTLY like this: telescopic, line running through the pole, small fly reel attached at bottom. (I know because I bought one.)

That was at least 25 years ago, though. It obviously never caught on. Maybe it’s time has come.
