Help finding a jig

I may not me naming it right, thought it was called salt water plastics but have used different lures over the years that were made of a tuffer plastic. Going to try some of the one's mentioned but don't see the color I'm looking for on any of the mentioned websites. It's a translucent chartresue if your'e familiar with the B.G. chartreuse black or red pepper you know what I mean. Scott

Are you talking about the Z man plastics….Elazatech or something like that. Nikko lures are made from the same thing basically. I have some of their Panfish lures and you can stretch them like Old Stretch Armstrong and they still will not break. Their 3in Hellagramite will catch 100 Smallies and not even look used. VA Crappie Man uses these saltwater plastics he might know of something similar. Check out Creek Fishing Adventures on You Tube, he has a Nikko sponsorship and maybe even Mule Jigs, they may be made from similar materials. Good luck with the search

If the plastic is tearing up from pulling down the jighead maybe try a few other things too. Wrap floss and super glue it to your jighead hook. Then put another drop of superglue and slide up the plastic. That’s what the fishing machine does.

Also don’t overlook a hand tied jighead.

What about Zman Slim Swimz in the color watermelon red or space guppy? It is a 2.5” bait that you could use as is or take scissors and cut down the head of it. It has the same profile size of say the Bobby Garland but it has a small paddle tail. You can catch lots of fish off the same bait as it is made out of elaztech material. You could also try the donkey tail or the donkey tail jr from Mule Jig but it is also a paddle tail but I think the Zman is more the style you are going for as well as the color. Hope this helps!

Several folks use that type of “salt water” plastic, Limits tackle baits are tough as they come .
No collar , no keeper jigheads work best with plastic baits from what I can tell .

On my bass tubes i mix medium & hard plastic together to up the firmness. Medium tears easily on hard hook sets on texas rigged tubes that you miss the fish but add hard to medium & you don't have to worry about that. I usually do it at a 50% ratio myself but that's just my preference using baitplastics plastisol but I have done different with other brands too You may need a different jig head but the firmness of plastics is easy to cure by anybody that makes soft plastics without having a specific saltwater plastisol.
