I agree ^^ it depends on your fishing style.
I love big braid and a mono leader for long poles.
The small braid is a no go. Too many tangles and problems.

Depends on your fishing technique and your personal preference.
I use 2# mono for casting to finicky fish. It sinks slowly.
I use 6# mono for casting into trees.
6# or 8# Flourocarbon for jigging.
10# braid on my spider rig rods. I tie on a swivel quick connect clip and hook my mono double jig rigs to it. IF I get hung up, I lose the mono and can quickly attached another double jig rig.

Braid all the time no matter how I’m fishing. 20lb for dipping and 10lb for casting tied straight to the jig.

I use both depending on how I'm chasing them at the moment. I will say that I didn't use braid for the longest time. But the more I use the lighter test, it's growing on me. So much so that I find myself slowly switching everything to it.

I have been trolling crank baits with cheep bass pro crappie max 4 #and 6# on ultra light tackle out of my kayak .i sometimes have a lure get the hooks tangled and line is done + i been hooking into something huge a few times with no chance of getting it in .would you guys say go to 10 lb braid ? What happens if i get the hooks tangled on lure is the braid toast like what happens to my mono? .braid is to much $$$ to change out every other trip . i should say i have a trolling motor and its hard to see sometimes when a lure gets fouled out of kayak so my mono gets trashed very quick .

I like to keep things simple I use 6 lb. Vicious mono for everything except pulling cranks then I'm using 10 Vicious mono I have thought about braid for single poling but never switched.
