I have an Xpress HD17SC, it is a 17'56" bottom. It looks like the same hull as the Lowe 17 Stinger. Yes it has a console but I find it awful nice running around on those March days. I can't imagine doing 35mph across a cold lake in the FRONT of the boat with no windshield! Mine has a 60 4stroke Yammy.

I worry that if someone stole or totalled my boat the insurance wouldn't pay me enough to replace it with the exact same thing!

Yes it is a bass style boat, spray in bedliner no bench seat or carpet though. We night fish three guys all the time and I like its size for that.

I do like the looks of those crappie boats but I think mine is better for all around fishing.

If I were getting a new boat, I would seriously consider this one.

I found a very nice used Triton 1657SS boat. The boat is 6 months old and has been used very few times. It has a Mercury 50HP on it. They want $11,000 for it. Is that a pretty good deal? A new one out the door with TTL runs about $13, 500. Let me know your thoughts. Here is the website with pics of boat

SeaArk forecast has a nice layout. Check one out before buying. Also those Tritons have the livewell in the center and it is in the way. War Eagle has it on the side. The bottom is wide open and easy to walk around in.

I have a tracker PF-16 with a 35 Mercury Tilt and Trim. My wife and I love this boat for our lake that we fish (3500 acres). I have R. Arthritis and it really helps not having to get up and down every time we move.
A word of advice, always get the biggest engine offered and get Tilt and Trim. It helps with the steering and performance tremendously.
If I was to get a console boat I would definately look into the Tritons. I also like the layout of the G3 crappie rig with the lower deck in the front.
