Andy, I gave up on the green carp for crappie fishing some time ago. Have not regretted it on bit. Welcome to Crappie.Com.....great people and good info!

    Welcome aboard Andy!
I used to target bass too, but once I got into fishing for crappie, I haven't looked back (crappie taste much much better than those green carp - and I've always fished for the table). I catch the occasional bonus bass on my little crappie tubes (6lb, 22" hawg a couple weeks back) and that is just a little extra excitement on the light gear I use for crappie.

The little lake I usually fish is full of bass, pike and crappie, and I go after the crappie. I spend less time fishing and more time catching!

Congrats on joining the #1 crappie fishing resource in the world. If it has to do with that fish I used to call a calico bass when I was a kid, you'll find it here!

    Welcome from Upstate NY!

Welcome from the great state of Mississippi. Plenty of good crappie fishers here on the forum who are more than willing to help out. I know they have made my game better. Good luck.
