What about the fishing flogger it's real time for sure.
Be safe and good luck fishing
LS and will hurt the population period. You can't take the large crappie and not hurt the fishery. The game and fish people won't react until the crappie are in trouble. I have ls had it just after it came out. What you will find if you fish a lot are the big crappie stay in schools and they spend little time near cover. When you find them you can decimate the school. I don't keep more than I can eat. I think the limits need to be lowered and size limit In acted. I fish some rather small lakes in Oklahoma and I have seen the impact. I release all crappie over 1.5 lbs and clean those one pounders. I know a lot of guys that are game hogs and it sickens me. We need to protect our fisheries I will get of my high horse now sorry for the rant.

one thing for certain lots of folks have become legends in their own minds with the new technology .
it bothers me to see them holding up 3 lb range fish all beat up from the livewell and then "claiming" they released all of them.
one smaller lake in these parts in particular was not well known for "BIG" crappie some years ago and now it is STILL not known for large crappie .
the masses of semi pro and pro guys all ran there dreaming of huge crappie when they found out about it holding lots of large fish and flat out destroyed the fishery .
its been years now and it still hasn't returned to what it once was and it was done before LS was even a dream
so to those that say it can't happen , that is not the truth .
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
New guy here so pardon me if this has already been beat to death....
I dont get it. I see guys on the lake sitting in the front of their boat staring at a huge screen, jigging their bait occasionally, just staring at the screen. Watching a school of fish interact with their bait. Then they jerk one out, all the while still watching the screen. Horse it in like they are being timed and toss it in the livewell and right back to their face planted to a screen. What the heck? That (to me, my opinion) is not what I'd call fishing. Its closer to Playstation. Id rather sit at home and play Bassmasters video game on the couch than do the livescope thing, about the same to me. Ive seen guys sit for hours staring at a screen on the lake. No skill in reading water, no skill in detecting subtle strikes, not much of any fishing skills at all. And I too have seen guys almost wipe out smaller schools of crappie using it. They dont look around, enjoy the beauty of nature, notice the birds, wildlife, nothing really but stare at a screen. No thanks....

The key to me is figuring out the bite. I just installed LS and am looking forward to using it. My wife and I will still enjoy our quiet times old school float fishing, sharing laughs and taking in God’s creation. We don’t keep a lot of fish and return more than we keep. A good day for Buckeye in 10 or so caught and brought home for a couple supper meals.
