Try using the bait pump some people swear by it. It injects the nibble into the jig body.

    WD-40????

Actually is a fish oil based product, and is safe to use on clothes to get out stains and numerous other things. That is why people use it for fish attractant. It is made from fish products and is safe to use. There may be other ingredients that are haremful that I am unaware of, but it is not a petroleum based product. Believe it or not?!?!?!!

I usually work two rods. One gets a nibble - the tighline hanging over the side near the boat. The other I'm casting with and don't bother with the nibbles. This is the only way I've seen nibbles increase my catch. I get more on my tightline with the nibble than i do without it. Have tried them on the rod I'm casting and have never noticed any difference.

But, believe it or not ... there's NO FISH based oils or byproducts in WD-40 That's just a rumor, probably started by an angler using it :D
WD-40 is actually mostly a solvent, made up of hydrocarbons and petroleum base oil. It's very similar to Dry Cleaning Fluid. WD means "water displacement" ... the "40" represents the 40th version (that was finally accepted).

    Here's the MSDS on WD-40 : http://www.wd40.com/Brands/pdfs/msds...aerosol.us.pdf

And here's Snopes amended "urban legend" disclaimers, about fish oils being in WD-40 (they're not) ... and the "recommended uses" list (mfg recommended uses are less numerous than purchaser uses) : http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/wd-40.asp

    ... cp

personally i`ve never had much luck with nibbles either, seems like at times i do get a few more bites, or taps but seldom catch any more fish using nibbles

Love the crappie nibbles. I have used the wildfire Pappy and like them a lot.

Oh and by the way makes sense then that WD40 would take out stains since it is basicallly a dry cleaning solvent.

I never go anywhere without a good supply of Crappie Nibbles. I can definitely tell a difference when I use them. Also, I've caught many different kinds of fish with the nibbles- catfish, bluegill/redear, crappie, drum, bass....

Two tools that should be in every tool box:
    WD-40 and Duct tape.

If it is supposed to move and doesn't: WD-40
If it moves, but ain't supposed to: Duct tape

We hashed out the use of WD-40 in fishing here on the forum a while back, and based on the MSDS that cp provided, the general consensus was that using it as a fish attractant is not recommended because essentially it's not much different from your motor leaking oil in the water. - more pollution. I don't think any of us is in favor of polluting our fishing holes.
