those are the floats we use in the medium or small size and ususally fixed. best fishermen I know of at T hill all use 12 foot poles with fixed bobbers so that's how I do it as well most of the time.
I can throw either one at least 90'. Jig or fly, fixed or slip float. Fixed in 6' of water or less and slip for deeper water. My go two's.

There are several types of floats people use that can be used as fixed or slip floats and do not have to cut the line to change. A lot of people do not know that. Inspect your floats when you buy them. They might not say it but they work either way.

I use the smallest float I can get away with. I use slip floats around 80% of the time. You convert some fixed floats to slip floats but using coffee stirrers or small straws. The only time I use larger floats is during the spawn when fishing with minnows. I don't want the minnow heading for thick cover when probing buck bush. I like using the small Leland floats the most. I can make them weighted floats by wedging a 1/32 oz bullet weight in them and feeding the line thru. I love the balsa floats but they are too expensive for the areas I fish. Cheaper is better when it comes to floats.
I might try slip float, what weight do you normally use. I try my 2-in-1 bobbers type and even 1/16oz jig is not heavy enough to pull the line all the way down. Any good weighted ones out there that at least work with 1/16oz with no split shot added and work with light setup.
I only use bobbers at night.
I cast on to shallow shore line so light weight head is better.
I normally don’t fish deeper than 6’ with bobbers.
60’ is at least I need cast crosswind against where I fish at.
A lot of float recomended here, I have tried it at one point, either lack of distance, not support light setup and not good in 5-10pm h wind.
