I only use fixed floats and or pinch on floats myself . one contact point is far better than 2 between me and the fish .
I have been known to fish them as deep as 10 to 12 feet and yes it is REALLY tricky to cast a mile set up like that .
a rod of about 8 or more feet long is required to fish depths in that range under a pinch on .
one of my buds uses a 10 when we fish depths in the 10 or more range with fixed floats .

The Leland crappie floats might do the job. They’re slitted with a pin so can be slip or float. Cigar shape, one is 2”. It would need some help with weight to go 60 ft I would think. Very inexpensive.

Bass Pro or Pencil float, put a rubber bobber stopper above and below the float. This way you have the option of either slip float or fixed float.

Got my second one done a week ago. Figure I'll head to 10killer to de-winterize the 5th wheel next week. Hope to make a few trips to Sardis (Okla) this year. A guy from high school slayed them there all last summer.

I use the smallest of the bobbers.
