I have a couple of older BnM Sharpshooters with Tennesse handles. I love those rods.

I haven’t used this tape but I found the post one member was talking about several years ago. He was using Silicone Self Fusing Tape - said it holds incredibly well and no adhesive left if you remove it. Just a suggestion - maybe someone else here has actual field experience.

Is that a kind of sport’s tape? I know there’s a type of tape for tennis racket handles. Some have used it on rods, and it worked well.

Thanks for setting the composition straight CrappiePappie. I finally bought that record on your recommendation. The first fish I caught on that thing....I'd swear I got struck by lightning.

I did a quick lookup on the Internet. This tape sounds pretty darn good. It excels in high heat, can be use on electrical, taping pipes and many industrial applications. Again, the military guys use it a lot. I like that it is a non residue tape. It sounds perfect for taping on reels where you may want to remove the tape at a later time. Very strong. I hope someone here can speak to it.

I like the Tennessee type seat for any Rod over 11 ft. It lets' you move the reel as you like to set the balance point. In addition to the others mentioned, HH Rods and Reels has that style available on some of their rods. I also have one of the 12' Norseman ESP Jigging rods with the same set-up except that the way it's made doesn't allow for much adjustment. It's still a very nice rod.
