Marabou 99.9999% of the time. Last several hundred have been on one of the following colors. Gives me something to do when I'm not fishing.
Craft Fur. Best thing I have found.
I tried using the fur from my dog's tail and it did well this year. Just soft / coarse enough to have that nice quiver that really p.o. fish!
Since my dog is a yellow lab mix, I can use my Just For Men mustache dye to get a darker color if needed.

I can tell no different in catch ratio between hair or feather. Use what you have confidence in. Crappie don’t care. If I had to choose it would be bucktail, hackle then marabou. Don’t count out silicone legs for a tail. I’m a firm believer in less is best when it comes to material.

Arctic fox body hair is my favorite. Same action as marabou and way more durable. A well tied hair jig will hold up to hundreds of fish.
Don't worry, catch crappie.Ralo79 LIKED above post
