Les,
The rods are not like broomsticks and have a very fast tip. It loads up well on the hook set.
I set the hook hard when vertical fishing like Kevin Rogers does and the rod loaded with braid reacts as it should.
Confident it will swing in anything I catch around here. I haven’t netted a fish in a long time BUT I haven’t caught anything over 1.5 pound in a while either.

Considering an X-13. Anybody got any experience with one? How do they compare to a Huckabee??

Old Thread but I'm a Newbie here & an Old Guy. I have had the pleasure to buy, own, purchase a few things that others haven't & different Rods is one. I feel for the Length being 13 foot it was well thought out to give you extra reach than the 12's & 10's for Forward Face Technology now but the Back Bone to Boat Flip 2lb+ Crappie is not matched when it comes to the Jenko X-13 & X-15. The way this rod is balanced it virtually makes the darn fish hook themselves but the feeeeeeeeeeeeeel of the Hookset is Not like any other Rod I've had in my hands. Rods are personal & I personally call my Jenko X-13's & X-15's "EXCALIBER'S". They were made for my hands
