thanks sir , but honestly that hike is just about to much for me at my age , going up requires a few stops to ketch ones breath . a few years ago i made my once a year hike in the there and literally thought it was my last , it was rather warm and i stopped about 6 times in a half mile to try to ketch my breath and literally thought i would be found on that trail with my nose pointed up that hill dead as a door nail .
yesterday i only stopped twice though and by the top of it when i saw my truck i thanked the powers to be for returning me to my ride , not kidding

the length of the walk isn't terrible , it is the terrain my friend , it is barely fit for a billy goat and that is a fact .
the rangers said they only go down it once every 3 or 4 months .....

So why don't they improve the walkway? A bobcat, and some gravel, and maybe some treated wood, to create steps, or at least try to smooth some of it out.

It is a hiking trail , not far from the rock climbing trail and that exact area is said to be ancient untouched crosstimber country

here is a trail head marker , it is scenic for sure , there are some really large boulders along the way down that trail , the image of the trail earlier is just a tiny portion of the walk down and or up if you live thru it .....
