    Default Of all your baits?

I’ve been making baits for a long time but primarily for black and white bass. I’ve never tied a jig specifically for crappie. I always use some of the plastic baits that I have made up. What do you like best or is your go to?

Mostly depends on how I'm fishing it.
Casting (open water) ... 1/16oz marabou Road Runner
Casting (to cover) ... 1/16oz weedless jighead with Slabanator Mini-rod or Charlie Brewer Slider Grub
LS Flipping ... two 1/16oz heads with Slabanator Mini-rods or Hot Rods
Pushing ... 1/16oz head with Slabanator Booty Thumper or Hot Rods

For me spring and fall a Roadrunner or pony heads in 1/32oz size, summer just a ball head or whatever shape in heavier size. All hand tied.

My go to lure is any 1.5 inch stinger or Minnow imitation soft plastic lure that has black and chartreuse on it.

Whatever you tie for white bass should work well for crappie. I’ve caught lots of white bass while fishing for crappie.

My favorite lake has some big white bass in it and I catch them all the time. I will say the jig needs to be built better because a white bass will destroy a handtie. I little super glue is all that is needed.

That is interesting. I’ve never caught a crappie on one of my white bass jigs except for the craft hair float and fly jigs.
