2 out of the 3 of us went in with our cowboys hats on , the third had a real tree ballcap .
AND it was terribly bad day to be a crappie for sure .
slinging lead like in them old westerns we was and to be sure it ended nicely .
beautiful bluebird day ,weather was no jacket and the fish were just asking for it .
57 water when we hit it at 2 pm and 55 when we rolled off right at 5 pm .
fish were in heavy numbers in 12 to 15 foot of water parked as flat on the bottom as they can get .
a long pitch and a REALLY REALLY slow drag back to ya got hammered .
liked dark colors best and were at all 4 stops in numbers .
more than about 6 inches off the bottom not a peck .
needed to use the net a few times .
shad kill has commenced there and the seagulls and etc were feasting .
left with just under 2 limits of no need to measure fish , all the ten inch fish went back
old man winter is close to that lake as I type .
KABOOM is the word ya'll
p.s. shout out to Slab , still waiting for my gunslinger emoji bro , just saying
