Caught them from Watts Bar for decades, so I'm sure some have locked thru to the Chick.

Without a doubt. With all the water that flows down through these lakes. I was close to where Hiawassee flows into the Chick. Could have came from those lakes up stream

Those in the Caney Fork river have in all likelihood come through the spill gates from Center Hill Dam over the years. Pretty neat to catch big black nose and trout in same place.

Cool fish. We don’t have any of those around here that I know of. Congrats.

    Hey DSJ,
Do you fish up in Richland Creek?
Thought it looked good when we stay at Bluewater.
I’ve only fished for those green fish the few times we have stayed at Bluewater. I remember boating over to Hiwassee from Bluewater resort.

I have not fished Richland. With winter pool a lot of those areas are some real skinny water. Even at full pool I wouldn't take a boat much past the first aet of bridges. There are bound to be some deep holes along the creek that would be great for wade fishing. During spring rains that creek becomes a roaring white water until all the runoff slows down

    Wanna hear something crazy!?!?!

I fish Spring River west of Walnut Ridge in NE Arkansas. It flows into Black River about eight miles from my house. Black River has left oxbow lakes all along it.

I catch quite a few striped crappie in Spring River and virtually none in the oxbows off Black River.

Best I can figure they might like clearer water or cooler water.
