Got the kids out today.
Weatherman missed the wind prediction. Supposed to be south 10 to 20 but ended up S 15 to 25. Kids wanted to go so we headed out. My favorite pile was too windy for them but my daughter caught a couple as did I. My son hid behind the windshield. We only fished 20 min before it became real obvious they were not enjoying the wind. Went and hit a blowdown that usually produces fewer fish but they are larger. She caught a darn nice one. We fished a little longer as this spot was out of the wind. Couple bites after the big one but that's it. Back home about 90 minutes after we left.

Good job dad. Take them whenever they want to go, even those not so perfect days. Memories in the making and they will appreciate them even more as they grow older. And any fish is better than a skunk.
