Default I need a new reel

I had a reel just flat wear out. I am looking at trying a magnesium body.
    Plfueger Supreme xt 100$
    Diawa Fuego 100$

Anybody got opinions on these two or a better recommendation in the similar price range.

    I know right....another reel thread.

    Thanks in advance.

I’ve got 3 of the Daiwa Regal LT models. Two in 2500 and one in 1000 series. They’re light, super smooth and 10 bearings. I bought mine for close to $60 each which would leave some in the bank for you.

The Pflueger Supreme XT reels get some really bad reviews on the Cabelas website, you may want to check that out. A lot of complaints about the handle and bale breaking. I have 2 regular silver supreme's and they have been great and the Presidents are really good as well.

I'd go with the Fuego. I have two older Fuego models. They're both at least ten years old and still catching fish.

If Daiwa is not the #1 reel manufacturer in the world, they're #1A (right behind Shimano.) A lot of the technology that powers their premium reels trickles down into their lower-end reels.

I just bought ome of those. It is a pretty nice and smooth reel. I have several versions of the Pflueger Presidentsin 10 bearing, also several version versions of the 10 bearing Lew's reels. It is as good or better than any of them

I have not had the pleasure of wearing out a pflueger purist or supreme yet, several hundred thousand casts on a few I'd guess. The purists are really nice for the money, and on sale at scheels right now for 59.99. I much prefer the 25 size.

I've got an older Fuego, a newer fuego and a Supreme XT all in the larger size for bass fishing. The Newer Fuego is not like the older one. The newer Fuego has a LOT of stem flex. At times feels like it is going to snap when fighting a bass. I would take the Older Fuego 1st, the Supreme XT 2nd and the newer Fuego last.

Another vote for Daiwa Regal LT models. I have them on all my jigging rods for crappie and walleye.
