I gave it a wide berth not wanting a wet and wild raccoon chasing me off the boat. Took me a little while to put a fish on the boat and evict the skunk. No large numbers caught but only 2 dinks. The 13th fish was 13 inches long on the 13th day of the month. I decided to call it quites after I snapped a photo and release this fish. I went home with 10 fish for tomorrow night's supper.
Nice trip reward there Jack! Many, many years ago, I came to realize that the #13 played a significant role in my GOOD/GREAT Luck Dept.!:cheers

I considered it lucky as well. I also considered it time to appease the fish spirits and head to the house. 10 in the livewell made for a good meal.

I wish we had docks to fish here in NE Ohio. I would like to try what you do Jack. Sounds like fun pulling a 13 incher from under a boat or dock.

No chance to get bored doing it. Constantly shooting and reeling. A 13" crappie is a good fight. Then there are the big catfish that hang out under docks. A good sized blue cat will give you a heck of a fight on crappie gear. Best you can hope for is they swim to open water and you can keep them away from the dock. I enjoy that style of fishing greatly
