You might try getting parts here. They also have reel schematics to help you find the right parts.

I’ve never bought from them but have used their schematics to see how things went together while cleaning reels.

update on this reel, i figured i'd take it apart, very easy on this model, went thru a few steps and i think i found the problem, it was a sticking anti reverse roller bearing, i washed it out and a few other parts in the area, lubed the bearing with CLP and ect, i was able to test the anti reverse bearing and bingo, cleaned and lubed the gearcase and resembled it, it works as it should now, if it should happen again i know the exact part to order, i will give it back to my son, he puts them thru the test. the anti reverse switch works 100% of the time now, Daiwa could have fixed this reel in a heartbeat. 90 bucks saved ect.

They probably don’t clean them and would rather just drop new parts in

Glad you were able to fix it up.

The very high fee they wanted to charge was for lubing the reel. Certainly can't lube it correctly without cleaning off the old lube
