world we live in, makes you give in and cry .....
Live and Let die ....
jury was out a bit ,on return ,the verdict was .....die and Die they did .
65 degree water temperature ,50 degree air , 20 mph NW wind , fish were scattered yet again .
right before an all day rain event was this trip and it was rather chilly.
good times for sure and most wasn't shy , the thumping was nice and the laughs even better .
We sure missed quite few thumps and it was a school day , schooling ya if ya blinked for sure was them thumpers ....
I did best on bright chart , but solid black was killing them well too ....
bottom hugging and not on any particular cover in any numbers , just following shad schools around the shorelines .
a long cast and a VERY slow roll was key .
we opted for a spot behind a nice hill to avoid the wind in the end , the out in the wind stop was pretty unpleasant ,both of the 2 stops held fish well .
And don't you dare think a fellow 20 years older than me can't hang , he was putting them in the boat well . the boat captain was out on this deal as he wounded his hand terribly a day or 2 before on a dock as he reached out to slow the boat down to avoid a "hit" . he tried to hang but his handicap kept him in third place all morning .
kept a nice mess of them ,then...
off to work went me and until I go again ....
KABOOM is the word
