    Default Vicious Panfish Line

Does anybody use this line? I am looking for suggestions on a line with low memory. Is this a true copolymer line? I would be using 6lb hi-vis.

It seems to be very cheap, a spool around 3,000 yds is around $10-$12.

    Thanks

There are a lot of people here that use it. I have bought a few spools lately and I have used it on some live bait rods. Seems to be good line. I used the 4 pound high vis. I believe I have heard G say he uses it. Maybe he will chime in soon

I use it, and have used it for many years. I use the 6# hi-vis version. My fishing partner uses it, too. I wouldn't exactly call it a "low memory" line, though ... which is why I periodically go thru the stretching/untwisting procedure.

    Trilene Sensation

    Trilene XL

I use the 2# version of both, and they’re excellent.

If trilene made the orange sensation in 4# that would be my go to line. Loved that line but only found it in 6#. I really prefer 4#.

2# viscous has almost the same diameter as 4# Mr. Crappie.

Vicious Panfish 4# Hi Vis. Very good line if you do the stretch thing once in awhile.

I just loaded up a reel with 2# on Monday. Haven’t fished it yet, but looking forwarding to see how it handles.

Been using 4 pound hi vis vicious line for a long time. Tried a number of others but I go back to my vicious. Trying Gamma now and I like it. Won some two pound test gamma that I have yet to use.

2lb test Gamma is pretty tough line, Chaunc. I used it all this season as I just couldn’t find fresh 2lb Stren Crappie. Held up well on my Sedona and I think tests out at about 4.5 or so. You fish a lot more than me so I’ll be curious how you like it. The Panfish color is real easy to see to tie knots with.

I ordered a 330 yd spool of 6lb hi-vis Gamma yesterday. Much more expensive than Vicious, but if I like it that's OK. If I do like it I will be ordering a larger spool.
