Switched to a Richard Williams model from them and never had to replace a tip again. I’ve moved on to the Russ Bailey model now. Real similar to the RW model but a little lighter. Keep checking and you’ll find a bnm rod that fits your need. Every rod isn’t for everybody.
i too really like my 2 Russ Bailey models and my 2 Leland TCB’s. I have a rod graveyard and then. Have others especially for certain situations and lakes.

I've abused the daylights out of my 14 ft BGJP's and they've taken every bit of it. I use them pulling, and dipping pads/brush. Never had a problem. They have seriously amazed me in how tough they are. In all the years I've been using BnM I've only had one PST tip break, no BGJP's. And I use them both exclusively for my long rods. I use half BGJP's and half PSTs. Two complete set ups for two boats. Only problem is I only have one boat now! doh

I’m glad you had better success with them than I did. I haven’t used one in over ten years now so they’ve definitely had the time to get better. I didn’t say they are bad rods. Just they weren’t conducive to my style of fishing back then. They just didn’t hold up well for me back then. Gave them to my nephew and he’s still using them today.

I have been wanting to try out that 76, next time I see one I’m buying it.

That’s the one I thought I ordered but I didn’t make sure it was the anniversary model and got the wrong one. I like the one I got but it’s too long for my rod locker on my boat. My TCB combo is awesome.

Absolutely loved my 5’6” dockshooters. They quit making that model. Now it’s six foot. My buddy still uses his six footer for hang gliding with me.
