Got bought on Tuesday , Got wet on Thursday .
Took just 3 with me when I took my bud H to my private dock spot .
Introduction was the first order of things and he met the owner of the dock .
We of course fed the catfish and ducks ,then went to look at the work needed on the dock .
Next up was trying to get them to bite , not cooperating and I tried to convince him there were really big crappie under this dock .
It was really slow and the fish just didn't want to play get ketched .
Just a tater chip here and there .....
THEN it happened ....KABOOM and my bud H was on his way toooo ....
His largest crappie to date ....
He landed it and I said told ya so bro , they is down there mixed right in with herds of potato chips ....
we both ketched several in the extra nice size range and .....
the ole bla bla bla about crappie I hear and read from all them knows bunches about crappie folks is WRONG yet again !
The big crappie aint never with little crappie is just not a FACT !
So many of the things many of the well seasoned and respected crappie anglers say that don't hold true and believe what they preach ,just astounds me.....
take it from the true outlaw in the game of ketchn , never means nada and so it goes when it comes to how to ketch a crappie ....
Now some might say we managed large crappie this visit due to my super lucky
crappie.com T shirt , but those that are in the circle , know what shirt I wear has nada to do with my ketch rates ......
KABOOM is for sure the word btw .....
p.s. a bite so light you never knew ya got bit in most cases , light north wind and the water is rather shallow there and cool to the touch .

Nice fish! Colors are working well….love the Mississippi Pank especially…
Here about all of the time the big slabs not around the shorts . We see it on livescope and noticed it alot before . We look at a stakebed or other cover and ones full of dinks usually have no bigs . But may be different some places .Seen everything in 50 years of fishing and for one nothing is set in concrete when it comes to fish .
Great looking fish.

first time I found fry size crappie with extra large sized crappie was on that lake , I know another lake about 45 miles from that one that has the same thing going on .
it is possibly due to massive amounts of fish in both of those lakes and only so much space to go around ?
not sure ,but for sure you can whip a few rather small fish in the same exact spot and then KABOOM ,here comes a 15 inch fish .
thought for a moment in time on the first time I saw it, that maybe the monster crappie was eating the little 4 inchers ?
might be the case possibly ?

there are those that use crappie slime as their top of the list of scents added to their arsenal of artificial baits .
of course fresh slime requires you to have a fresh crappie first .....
kinda of a dilemma of sorts , which came first right ...?
the crappie or the slime ....
