Default When was your last Tetanus Shot?

I had a run in with an errant kitchen knife that left me with a very small hole in my skin. Normally not a big thing, but I take two different Blood Thinners. When I couldn't get it to stop seeping my precious fluid after three days, I took a trip to the Emergency Room. They took care of it with a bandage that contained a clotting agent.

But the nurse asked me a question I couldn't answer. "When was your last Tetanus Shot? Was it longer than five years ago?" I honestly did not remember, so I opted for the shot. Seldom do I go fishing when I don't stick myself with a hook or a barbule on a catfish or something else. So I defiantly needed one.

So ask yourself the same questions, and if it is more than five years ago, do yourself, and your loved ones a favor, and get the shot.

Clint I split my right Ear in two this summer at Ross Barnett. 4 hours later in the Merit Health Hospital Emergency Room I was ask the very same question. For Sure, mine was 3 months ago.

(Had to get the ear sewn back up or I would have looked like a "Marked" Wild Hog)

Let’s see, last one was last summer when I ran the tips of 2 fingers across a running jointer after a board slipped. Good PSA!

When our grandson was born his pediatrician wanted all family to get a TDAP shot, and tetanus is the first letter. It had been years since I had had one and the shot is good for a few years. Hook in the finger.

Once a year for sure. All of my fingers have had stitches in them, as elsewhere.

Luckily, I haven't been wounded recently, (amazingly), but I was just thinkin' the other day... that I am a bit overdue for a tetanus shot.
Thanks for the reminder. I'm putting it on my "to-do" list right now so I don't forget it.
